I've had a thought about the reduced mpg experienced by those folks using AT2's. Surely, as the vehicles odometer is calibrated using the standard size tyres, then changing to tyres with a larger rolling radius will cause the odometer to under read as you'll be covering a greater distance with every revolution of the tyre.

This could account for some of of the difference although the more aggressive tread pattern probably has an effect as well.

Just done my first calculation since getting the car. Around town/urban 34mpg.
The vvt is a much better car overall compared with my old 1998 sohc. It's much quieter and smoother and doesn't roll so much on roundabouts but I guess more expensive to sort out. :)

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

Through the summer I get about 28mpg and through the winter that drops to about 20mpg.

I have 16" GV Rims, a 6-1 T-case, a heavy winch on the front -- so MPG is always a problem - I reckon it does around 20mpg, but actually I don't care ...

I fill it up, when it needs more, I fill it up again!

Jalapeño, IISY?
