My old 2006 vvt Jimny would do 315 miles to a tank of fuel in its standard form, when I put General grabbers at2s 205/75/15 on it the range dropped dramatically to 275 miles.

mine's a 2007 vvt with Grabber AT2's on and I'm only getting 200 miles between red fuel lights (approx 28 mpg) - what's going on ? it runs fine and there's no fuel leaking - what's this vvt all about - very variable tanks - have they fitted smaller fuel tanks

How many litres is your tank taking Halford?

Jimny's are quoted as having 40litres, but i only ever get 35-36 in

If you calculate your MPG using the full 40 it makes a difference obviously ;)

Hi Adam,
Takes around 32/33 lts between warning lights leaving a 7/8 lt reserve I guess.
so that's only 200 miles on 32 lts = 28 mpg
how are people getting 38 mpg

My car at the moment is stock, although I will get some ATs but standard size on steel rims for winter. I only do occasional mild green laning and, after noticing the drop in fuel with the grabbers, using ATs all the year is very expensive. If you don't mod the Jimny they are very economical......honest :)

:( so it looks like the grabbers are grabbing the road too much ..... :pinch:
:) do like the way they feel though, and have total confidence in their grip and ride
might try a couple more lbs pressure in them to see what happens to mpg.
wonder if keeping them caked in mud and clay would improve mpg (like slicks) :silly:
