I've just recently bought a 08 plate, standard Jimny and have been watching the fuel gauge. I am getting just under 35mpg based on the first few tankfuls.

top speed?! hmmmm well I've not gone above 70mph but i reckon its got a little more to give but i rarely take it above 55mph just to save petrol.[/quote]

best keep it that way, ive done a 1er before, that was when mine was standard, not recomend it, there was no one else around, going down hill as well lol

took a while but it got there, you can forget about the handling and through it out the window, do not do! lol

I do motor sport ( hill climb), im used to doing high speeds up a narrrow track, something some what unstable isn't a problem for me, but you'd only need the tiny est twich in the stearing :woohoo:

Bumping an old thread, but on topic

Drove back from south coast of Devon (Salcombe to be precise, very nice it was too) at the weekend, and just finished the tank of fuel off after the commute all week...

So a mixture of motorway and town driving

Averaged 38mpg!

sat at 55 on the motorway and sometimes maybe 60

There must have been a tail wind! ;)
