I'd always found the fuel economy on my Jimny to be dire, about 35mpg. Obviously compared to what some people are getting on here that's pretty good, but my previous car was a Clio that averaged 60-65mpg. I was actually considering selling the Jimny just on the cost of fuel.
Trouble is I love the car and the thought of driving anything else just didn't seem right. So I re-visited loads of DVDs on driving technique and now get just about 39mpg on mixed driving, without holding anyone up.

I have got mine down to about 25mpg average.
The lower the mpg the more mods you have and the more fun you're having I reckon!
If I want economy I will take my Berlingo, super comfort, easy to drive 90+ mph with no stress and if I drive for economy I can easy g
et 60mpg out of 1.6 turbo diesel. I'ld still rather drive the Jim though, loads more fun.

I am dreading checking mine now that I have 30" tyres and an SJ410 transfer box 4000rpm and I'm doing 59mph, at that i reckon it would do about 75mph red lining!!!!!
