Alternatively it takes about 20 minutes to change the belts with the radiator still in place.

Thanks. I already bought new antifreeze though so I'll be draining anyway. What's with the tensioner bearing, should I replace that when I change the belts?Busta wrote: 10 minutes taking off radiator, 10 minutes re-fitting, 20 minutes re-filling and bleeding, old coolant to dispose of and £10 worth of new antifreeze.

I haven't tried lifting a piston seal to look for corrosion underneath, and didn't know pumping the brake was required to get the piston out further. I'll try. However even if the 'bits that matter' are ok, I'm so fussy I just can't put it back without cleaning everything and greasing and painting!
Got one ready! Martin had some.mickt wrote: And a good days work to. Don't forget to bleed the rear brakes too. There is a nipple on the compensator mounted above the axle. It will be well rusty though!!
