Front brakes

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The seal kit is about £10 a side.
The fluid seal is the square section elastic band. (tbh, if it doesn't look obviously damaged or gone soft it won't leak if you were to use it again, but you shouldn't)
The dust seal (that keeps out muddy salty water) is the big floppy diaphragm, that is held on by the spring clip.
I doubt if you will get that back on if the calliper actually needs a rebuild. They tend to split, let water inside and corrode the piston.
The shop has reconditioned callipers, they are cheaper than the list price, as you get a refund on the old ones, and it saves a lot of fiddling about, but if money is tight, the rebuild kits work out cheaper, especially if the pistons are not corroded so they don't need replacing.

Where are the kits available for £10 facade?
Thanks Martin, would the blueprint discs be fine for use with the aisin pads that you stock? I assume all jimnys have the aisin calipers..?

In addition to the seal kits for the calipers, do I need the fitting kit with the metal hardware or can I just reuse the hardware from the existing calipers?
www.bigjimny.com/store/caliper-fitting-k...in-suzuki-jimny.html
Also I cant find any front brake hoses in the store Martin, can you get those in for Wednesday too? I assume I'll need a new left and right one since they seem somewhat corroded onto the calipers.

That is only your opinion. I have used WD40 for years and it is just as good as any of the same products. It is a water displacement fluid and it works!

Oh, and use a release oil like GT-85, Plusgas or diesel. WD-40 is to spray on your spanners in the drawer to hope that they don't go rusty (Duck oil is better, JL69 is even better)
