No mate, I spent a good while cleaning the mating faces up with a copper rotary wire brush in a cordless drill, checked and double-checked the fit, and then sealed them together with mastic and tightened the bolts up nice and tight, after adding spring washers under the heads to keep them tight...
It's had one trip out to the Lake District, which was a two hour drive there, a good nine hours 'laning and roads in between, and then a two hour drive back...
Not a spot...
But then there's only grease in there? So not sure how they could 'leak' much anyway?
Unless you mean leaking inwards? water when wading?... :S

Hmmm, dunno... can't comment on Russ's shafts / CVs as I have no experience of them...
Mine are fine, so far, though... as above, only one trip out so far, but that was a long one with plenty of rough 'lanes...
Will be working on the Jim' tomorrow, so I'll have a lie-down underneath and have a good inspection
