Vitara Diff in a Jimny (front) Axle?

My only other thought (whilst serving in my shop! the only thing that keeps me going all day! SZOOKYS!)...
Does the stubby shaft that goes in the CV and through the hub push back any further into the CV where it's splined?... that would leave it 'too short' to reach through the hub enough to get the washer and circlip on?
I'll have a look at my other CV/shaft tomorrow...

Changed bearings, seals and what not in the front axle earlier this year. Putting everything back together, filled the knuckle with grease. Then when I came to put on the square washer and circlip I simply couldn't pull the stub-axle out enough. Turned out I had put too much grease in the knuckle
Martin's excellent instructions say that Suzuki spec' is to only put 100ml of (Martin's favourite waterproof) grease in the knuckle... I spread about that much around the inside 'bowl' of the knuckle, figuring it would get spread around later, and only put a light smear on where the CV joined the back if the hub... (the CV came pre-packed with grease)

Would neither side go on? the 'square' washer I mean? or just one side?

Wrote the blog last night, and when I was proof-reading it back I realised I hadn't bent the tab back in when refitting the hub / bearing so had to re-strip it this morning anyway...
Not enough time today though to do the other side, so that will be Sunday now... was hoping to do it sooner, as we're greenlaning next weekend (26th) in the Lake District, so I did want some more time after fitting the LSD / Shafts / CVs in case anything goes wrong... time will tell! (all seems ok though?!)
