Yes i have but have diffrence is i have moved my power steering pump to where the altenator sat with a custom mount then fitted the 80 amp winch aux altenator where the power steering pump was with the origanal altenator above it well way up high out of the mud and water hopethat makes sence :silly:
Not sure as have not wired it in yet but the normal is an exciter wire that comes via the charge light on the dash main charge feed to the battery and as the altenator come from a non electronic controled diesel chances are there is a feed off the altenator that was used to feed a signal to the rev counter via a converter.
If you are running a SJ unit i take it your engine is in a SJ plus without the correct altenator how are you running vacum to your brakes ? My vac pump is on the back of the altenator
no it's in a jimny and I've still Got the old alternator on and running of that so in effect I've got 2 but one I carnt get working I couldn't sort the wires out I've got a replacment of the 1.7 which I'm going to fit and I'm running my power steering from the same side of a vitara made to fit lolbut the sj alternator is tiny
