Dont like using landy stuff out of principal but also have landy bushes in my axles as they were a fraction of Merc prices and couldnt find the Merc ones as a poly bush.
Looking at the position of the bolts on you adaptor looks like they are pretty much in the same place as mine cant see there is much diffrence at all.
I know you mentioned about my engine being up right i think judging by the geometry of the isuzu engine cant see a problem with it being upright almost looked like they layed it over a bit in the astra to clear the low bonnet line

Yeah I know what your saying about Landy stuff!

I have my engine up rite too, havnt really been anywhere off road to really try it, but drives fine on the road loads or torque! Just hope it's ok uprite, time will tell! I have a slight problem with my brakes though can't seem to get them to work ad good as they would from a normal engine, I have piped the vac pump straight to the brake servo/cylinder and can't get a good pedal done the obvious bleeding brakes etc! I have done away with the standard vac tank for the hubsetc and fitted manual hubs, any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Interesting on the brakes cant see not having the vac tank should make a diffrence however when i get mine running will bang a vac gauge on see if it makes full vac.
On the 1.9 pug conversions ive done in the past have never had to run a tank on them.
I take it you are on standard axles ??? with drums or disc conversion at the rear ?? dont really know my way around Jimny brakes (sj fan at heart) and there problem.
Im on G wagon axles have got standard Jimny calipers up front and E36 bmw rear at the back they have all bled up fine dont have free wheeling hubs as G wagon was permanent 4WD

Forgot to ask how are you for sump to axle clearence ive got to do some work on mine as it will clash as im running a hi steer set up on the G axles when i spoke to KAP they reckoned it cleared on a standard jimny set up but cant see it to be honest plus ive got my axle 60mm further fwd than a jimny so i can run 33s without doing the half arsed cut away of the floor solution

Yeah I'm struggling with the brakes can't get my head round it, yeah running Jimny standard axles and brakes, discs front and drums rear! My brother had a standard Jimny so think of parking his next to mine and piping his vacume accross to see if it alters the pedal at all?????

Axle to sump clearance is fine I have a 3" suspension lift and the pitman drop arms which lowers my steering arms! I will measure my clearance later! We have 2 if these conversions on the go at the moment, and from the first one we learnt all the mistakes so mine was alot more straigh forward, the 1st one we did we we didn't mount the engine high enough causing axle sump problems as you have just mentioned, we just made some different mounts in the end!

My Jimny is all up and running, just having a few wiring issues, with rev counter and temp gauge, I have kept the standard ecu in, and just soldered into the loom in most cases, with the Isuzu alternator (rev counter signal) wired to the Jimny clocks the engine ticks over at 5k according to the clocks so we are just experimenting with resisters to bring the signal down!

Also the temp gauge, if you use the Isuzu one it goes through the roof, so we are looking at fitting a Jimny one, problem been now the engine is in, the temp sensor is down the back near the bulkhead!

Also do you plan to change yours to a diesel on the log book? What is involved in this process do you know? I was planning on just filling in the section on he v5 to change it to diesel and hoping for the best! Bet I will need a engineers report and vosa inspection?
