Also forgot to me to mention that I have a 2" body lift fitted, personally I don't like them but this allowed us to mount the engine higher in the engine bay and still be able to shut the standard bonnet!

Was the G wagon axle conversion hard? Are there any advantages if doing this? Diffs higher etc?

Also if you get chance could you post some pics of you Jimny so far, double alternator conversion, axles etc! Cheers

Thanks for the tip on the temp gauge drilled and tapped housing out tonight to take jimny sensor M14x1.5
Not sure if mine will ever see the road hopefully if i can get it through the test but really being built for winch challenge.
G wagon axles are bomb proof as they Dana style and running 4.99:1 CWP also come standard with cross axle diff locks.
Front axle centre diff housing has to be flipped as run contra rotating propshafts on a G wagon took me a day to do bit of a sod to say the least.
Got a rock lobster transfer box in low box 1st gear should give me 1mph per 1000rpm
Im on 33 Insas at the mo but may go bigger also running the G wagon hockey sticks KAP 4 inch lift springs with ES 9000 Challenge shocks pin pin type
Front and rear Winches champion 9000 in the arse and Gigglepin Warn 8274 up front hence 2 altenators

Very impressed with Jimny mate! I need to get myself some of those G wagon axles :)

What alternators are you using? They don't look the same as my standard one!

Top alternator is the standard GM Astra unit fitted with and extended shaft to allow me to move it backward s so it cleared the top hose outlet
Aux alternator is a Bosch unit Ex-Senator but fitted to a raft of different cars.
Thinking about rev counter issue think I will fit the Jimny cam sensor with a pick up disc onto the Isuzu camshaft leave the air temp sensor in place and Lambda sensor strapped up out of the way fit some resistors instead of the injectors water temp sensor now in place and just fool the ECU into thinking its seeing the petrol engine running Sounds like a plan to me but then WTF do I know lol
