Dave,
How does the Jimny perform with the Isuzu engine mounted to the Jimny gearbox. Isn't is awfully lowgeared even in high-range?

Yeah with 4.99:1 G wagon axles its cruises at 40mph pulling 3000rpm on 33 Insas you will crap y pants any faster :woohoo: Once y cradle arrives going to swap standard 410 transfer box in and that will put the gearing where a jimny is with a Rocklobster

Corrrect me if I'm wrong. But if you run with standard Jimny tbox now and swaps to the 410 when the cradle arrives, Won't that give you an even lower gearing? As far as I know the 410/413 tbox is lower geared than the Jimny tbox.

Or am I just way off ? :)

Nope you are spot on biggest diffrence is jimny transfer case is chain driven 410/413 gear driven going to run 410 case for messing around with my axle ratio will be like running a jimny with a lobster box then if i want to go lower say for competion will just drop the lobster case in easy swap and that will put me some where gear ratio wise bettween a lobster and a set of 6.5 gears.
If i did put a set of 6.5 gears in it would give me 0.7mph per 1000rpm of the engine now that is low low

So lets just add this up....

I've said find me some G wagon axles, (as Kam are still loving the LR boys)
now... I want an Izuzu engine. Might as well do me a deal on the whole Jimny Dave ;) lol.

Can I ask what you think all the parts in a DCC (lol) Izuzu conversion will cost? and could it be done in a week or so?

So there's really no way this jimny is gonna be suitable for driving onroad?
