Recon its a go ahead just goin to get parts, just preying it doesnt rain to much.
She hasnt done kingpin bearings befor but im sure we'll cope.got all the tools needed which is a good start :laugh:
Does 100ml of grease equate to 100grams?

I bought a 500ml tin of grease and divided it up 100ml parts - I think, so long ago innit.

ive got sachets of grease from the garage my misses works at, 3x80gram puches.
well its been a right cock up, the parts section of my local stealer was meant to have them in stock when we spoke to them friday but upon arriving there today theres no bearings or even the oil seal!!earlies they can get them was tuesday morning, rang Martin from here to see what he could do and hes sending me some out express delivery which will be here tuesday so have ordered off here instead.
unfortunately the last day the mot place is open is monday so unless we can convince him to pass it on the basis he know us and that we will be doing the work the following day ill have no car over christmas

Cant you do it in the work shop on a ramp one you have done one it should only take about an hour thay are easy hardest part can be getting the king pin out as some people put to much sealent on the
its easy jack it up
wheel off
Track rod ends off
caliper off
Caliper carryer off
disc off
Vaccum hub off
circlip and washer off
Ten 10mm bolts on rear of hub
Four 12mm bolts top and bottom king pin
= hub off
tools needed
hammer
10 12 17 mm spaners scokets
and a female torq socket for the vaccum hub
its easy jack it up
wheel off

The problem is I dont get the parts till tuesday and the garage the mot is being done at closes after monday for christmas.
