To then come on the Internet and confess these and openly hope that the mot test does not pick up on the same faults, it's not a responsible attitude to take. You know the car has issues so fix them voluntarily don't wait to see if you are forced to or not. Alternatively consider the implications of an accident, you don't fix the steering and the car carriers onto the pavement and you kill a pedestrian, don't be so naive as to think your insurance company won't look on the Internet for evidence of negligence on your part. Also how will you be able to live with the knowledge that if you had fixed your car to the best of your knowledge you could well have not caused the accident at all?
do you know what your talking about when i looked at my king pin i had no oil leaking no play slight wheel wobble so i thought id take it apart cos i know what im doing dew to doing it for 17 years and clean it all and regrease it duw to going off road and i found this

its not a grey area if its not there and it should be and good tester should fail it but me and most other mot testers you let it slide
My bad, hopefully I have a tester who will let it slide.

I do remember saying I havent had the time or money to get it sorted and now my mot has crept up on me 5 days before xmas im hoping its not going to fail.
You were just so quick to critise me without really knowing the full story, as I said no one on here really knows each other (I know some are personal friends etc) and therefore dont know their life story or situation. This forum is a really usefull place and everyone is kind and offer sound advise not a place to critise people and belittle them over a genuine oversight.

But anyway the amount of time it's taken you to type this you could have stripped it down ready for after Christmas to be fixed.
Let's all stop bickering and have a hug
