I wonder if yours has a different shaped bracket? Mine is an umbra rimorchi detachable. I didn't have to move my exhaust, and a buddy of mine bought the same one and it fitted into his pre face lift too. The nuts on a stick should be able to fit up the chassis rail with a bit of patience. I hope you can get it sorted.
Somerset. I thank everyone for their help. I think I have picked a bad day to try it as I`m not feeling 100%. I thought I`d send it back as I though a fitter would only want to fit their own product etc. Mine is that Italian one peice as well. When was facelift, mine`s a 56, could that make a difference?
Bit too far for me to help I'm afraid (I'm in central Scotland) but to the best of my knowledge it's the same tow bar that my friend and I ordered, mine is a 2008 model (facelift) his is the earlier shape. I wiggled the exhaust side on first if that's any help. T
