My apologies. I just misunderstood when I was reading some more details about them. I must be half asleep

With coils springs? Not sure I know what you mean
These shocks, or any other quality shock, reservoir or no reservoir may not be stiffer than other standard cheap shock. They are just built to work much better and smoother. The reservoir may not be required for green laning and such. But with the additional amount of oil keeps the shock from overheating which may caused lesser dampening effect.
If you want to pay that sort of money for a shocks, there's also Fox 2.0 with reservoir or Hotbits racing shocks

Hey all,
So I bought the 50mm AVO lift from Jimnybits and have fitted it.
The results were a little disappointing in terms of lift and I was wondering if any of you experienced something similar.
Measurements from bottom lip of wheel (rim) to wheel arch:
40mm spacer lift:
Front right 680
Rear right 666
Front left 683
Rear left 665
50mm AVO lift:
Front right 674
Rear right 668
Front left 686
Rear left 686
(A standard Jimny is around 630 all round)
Also the car is now sitting skew. I did make sure the longer coil was on the correct side up front.
The ride is much much better though.
Any advice of comparative measurements would be great.

Some feedback. I rotated the RHS coils by a quarter turn thus raising that side slightly.
The coils still look well seated so I will drive a bit and see if they stay there.

Well if you bought the standard lift springs and your Jimny is loaded with lots of gear, winch, rollcage etc.. That's why. The springs needs to match the weight of the vehicle.
Perhaps your should have gotten diesel springs instead?
