Ok, one last revisit to this.
My options are for the most part:

Jimny bits 2" Procomp ES1000 - 1/2 price
Jimny bits 2" AVO - full price
Amada extreme 2" - full price
EFS 2" - 1.5 x full price

Most people here seem satisfied with Procomp from what I can tell, although I have read quite alot of bad things about them via other non-suzuki forums.
So my mind is split. The people in South Africa swear by EFS, OME and Ironman.

If the on road handling of the Procomp is the same or better than stock (with my 40mm spacers) then I will be happy.

Get Shocks made for the Jimny, like Tough Dog, OME, EFS, Amada Extreme or Trail Master. Far superior to Procomp or Rough Country shocks, made for some US truck.

Also consider Koni or Bilstein, they make shocks for the Jimny, but only in standard length. Or universal Bilstein shocks from the US. But the you'll need to figure out correct valving :)

Thanks.
Then I will probably go for amada. There is a very forum active saleman here in South Africa who has been quite helpful.
He has been and is testing a 50mm lift with progressive rear coils for loading. Sounds good to me.

You could also take a look at the Amada Extreme Explorer 2 for the Jimny. They are a bit more expensive though :)

Oo those look cool. So would those do away with the coil springs? If so are the damper mounts actually strong enough to deal with all the forces? Hmmm

With coils springs? Not sure I know what you mean :)

These shocks, or any other quality shock, reservoir or no reservoir may not be stiffer than other standard cheap shock. They are just built to work much better and smoother. The reservoir may not be required for green laning and such. But with the additional amount of oil keeps the shock from overheating which may caused lesser dampening effect.

If you want to pay that sort of money for a shocks, there's also Fox 2.0 with reservoir or Hotbits racing shocks :)
