CD stuck in new Clarion radio was created by JimnyGlenn
Does anyone know how to remove a stuck CD from the Jimny Clarion radio without removing it from the dash? Wife said it just won't play or eject. Power going to the unit. Yesterday she said it read CD or disc error? Today apparently nothing! I work away so I haven't checked anything yet. Car is a 2015 model but I think the radio is same as some previous models.

Does it try to eject it can you hear the unit try to eject it? might be a faulty unit I'd go down to the dealer to get it looked at, try keeping your finger on it for a good few seconds does it say anything in the manual for trouble shooting?

I haven't tried anything yet Daniel as I work away through the week. Didn't want to take it to the dealers as they seem to make things worse. Don't want them to take it out from the dash as something may rattle when put back together. Everything's good until people get involved lol. Get home tomorrow so I am going to have a good look at it.

Well as it is still under warranty I would take it back.
They may have a local radio "expert" who they'll get in.
At the worst they'll have to replace the radio.
It's not a difficult job to remove the radio in the new Jimnys and there is a guide.
I wouldn't touch it because of the warranty but if you really don't have any faith in your local dealer possibly you could take it somewhere yourself and take a copy of the guide to show them??

If they did decide to replace it possibly you could pay the extra and opt to get a decent radio fitted??

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

There shouldn't be much to rattle behind it, it should just be an insulated harness

Is there a little hole anywhere near its inserted, so that you can slot in a thin tool like for manual ejection.
