TomDK - do you have a similar trick to put the bearing/collar on the rear half-shaft ... I suspect :( that the half-shaft is a little to big for my oven!!

You'd need to put the half shaft in the freezer but still, unless you have a bloody big chest freezer you'll not be able to!

I have access to a mates fly press, on which I did mine on Saturday as it happens, or my father in law has a hydraulic press I used last time.

Wheel bearing completed, took us 2 1/2 hours, using hammer and punch and a bottle of gas just needed a little heat, a local garage pressed out the old bearing casing n put the new one in for a £10, can go plugging tomoro now! :)
