No, have not tried in reverse. But I would worry that the Jimny's centre of gravity would not be in line with the lift's two masts. This lift is rated for 3000 kg.

A jimny is within approximately 60 40 weight balance front and rear so it shouldn't be that bad and you could always put a transmission stand under it for stability.
