Tightened the generator belt. Have been squeeling.
Tested it by turning on heated seats, mirrors and rear window, high beam with most of the aux lamps 700w, fan on full. And waited for the DC-DC charger to kick in at 30A. Got the charge voltage down to 12.4v on idle. No squeel.
Switched of most of it and got back to 14.3v.
Pleased for now.

I adjusted the steering linkage to re-centre the steering wheel after my lift.
Despite looking at it several times, I decided that the steering rod needed lengthening, based on the fact that the mounting point had moved further down.
After lengthening the arm by 1/2 a turn the wheel went further out, seems I went the wrong way.
It was only after I remembered that the anti-roll bar pulls the wheels to the drivers side slightly after a lift, I realised the steering rod needed shortening. Reversing the wrong way and had to apply about 1/2 a turn shorter than stock.
I should have realised it needed shortening the steering wheel was out to the right after the lift with the wheels straight, this of course means the rod is to long.
What should have been a 15 minute job was spread over 2 days in the end as I found I didn’t have an open ended 24mm spanner (just a ring) and my big adjustable would only fit on one end due to the steering damper.
The nuts were also much tighter than I would have liked for an open spanner.

I recently bought a 2019 3dr which had some scuff marks on the inside, bottom of driver side door, also on the door sill. Photo does not show it very clear, but it was quite severe.
I got some 50mm wide "carbon fibre" tape and stuck it on the problematic places, both doors. Should last some time, I hope.

Decided the Weather and Roads are finally good enough to bring Gerald back out into action since it being put to bed last October. Always feels like the start of Summer when this car returns to the road and despite having other Jimnys this car always feels special to be in because it was my First (Second) Jimny that brought back my love for the Jimny after a few years away from Jimnys, coupled with the fact it was a new model at the time and was in such limited number making it really special to own one.

No ways I could do that. I got mine mid November 2018, I drive it every day, and I still can't get enough of her.Decided the Weather and Roads are finally good enough to bring Gerald back out into action since it being put to bed last October. I'm lucky to own more than one so I'm always in a Jimny! Originally when I bought the car I had planned to split the journeys between that and my other car and I did use the Jimny throughout its first winter into 2020. It then quickly became apparent how expensive and rare the car got and having fallen back in love with the Jimny brand decided this car needed more looking after so I turned it into a summer only car. I then bought an LCV as my daily which can take on whatever is thrown at it without having to worry about the wear and tear of my prized car.
