We have one on ours and its great offroad and a lot cheaper than an ARB locker
on road you get a clunk as it switches in and out and maybe a bit of understeer in the wet - but that could be the special tracks

If you go on youtube and search for lock rites there are a few videos that show you how they are fitted and also how they work. You should be able to work out how noisy they will be when they are unlocked.

on road the clunk occurs the most on a tight turn say at a t junction as it disconnects as you make the turn and then reconnects as you straighten up - on normal curves you don't notice it
ours has been on the jimny for a few years and has had been hard worked hard offroad so is probably noisier than a new one
