reversing lights was created by little boghopper
hello all, since having the gearbox replaced at 75k, a month later ive noticed the reversing lights dont work, ive fault found the following and i,m now stumped any ideas chaps?
1 no reverse lights when in gear., 2 disconnected connector on the wire coming from the switch on the passenger side of the gearbox .
and shorted it out, lights come on, unscrewed switch bolt on gearbox and tested it with meter and switch works . ??????
so its my thinking there is a rod in the gearbox that needs to push this in when engaged in reverse, but isnt ??? confused , have they fxxked
up on replacing the box? any ideas or can i put a switch in for the mot?
cheers Guys.

you don't need a working reversing light for the MOT in the UK ..

Did the Ball bearing fall out when they fitted it, not 100% sure there is one but it's a common way of operating a switch
