engine won't start, G16B conversion was created by GraphicX
i'm in a real spot of bother, i'e put a G16B in my previously G13BB jimny & it won't start. it'll turn over but doesn't get any spark at that plugs.

in the conversion we used the cam ring from the G13BB to replace the ring on the G16B.

i've cleaned every electrical plug, checked all the earths.

removed the spark plugs, #1 is drenched with fuel, the others are all black & sooty (they are new plugs).

what are my options here for figuring this out ? i've googled, posted on the jimny facebook group & on auszookers but i'm having zero luck.

my thoughts are that maybe the cam ring is in the bad position front to back & the sensor is mission it, or that perhaps a plug is simply having a really bad connection but i've double checked them all.

any tips or thoughts would be appreciated.

it's a hardtop, but i believe the engine/cam sensor are identical to your spanish built soft tops.

Check the earth on the head at the front near the cam cover on the inlet. I forgot this once and it wouldn't start.

thanks for that but i've removed them & cleaned them twice now (3 black wires that come of the loom from the injectors if i'm thinking of the correct connectors).
