Hi, hope I am posting in the right place. I picked up a 05 plate 50,000 miler Jimny yesterday. It looks very tidy and I was looking at giving it a professional Waxoyl under-seal and the cavities treat. I have been quoted £400.00 from a specialist over at Stoke-on-Trent but was wondering if any of you could recommend someone?
Shropshire is preferred if possible.

In The Olden Days, as soon as you bought a new car, the first stop was to get it Ziebarted, which involved drilling holes in the sill tops and injecting various Magic Fluids then putting little plugs in the holes that said Ziebart.

It didn't work :S

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Only the 1970s. :whistle:

Not sure why the cars went so rusty, I've seen those youtube videos of Jaguar & Triumph phosphate dipping, elecrophoretic priming, spray priming, painting, undersealing and waxing, pretty much what they do nowadays.

Best I can come up with is somehow the steel was different, and more rust prone. Certainly we have paper thin "high strength" steel in Modern Cars.
