But I'd probably put my money on the Zanfi Extra super heavy duty 26 splines shafts and CVs. But they are more than twice the price of Rob Storr ones.
On another note I can tell you that my local 4x4 parts supplier are working with RCV Performance in the US to make uprated shafts and CVS for the Jimny, 22 splines. I've heard talk that these shafts and CVs will come with a full 5 year warranty for up to 33" tyres. Price I'm guessing around £700. I'm waiting for a set of these
They will save the messing about with 26 spline front diffs and I've never heard of a front diff breaking. Having said that the cv's have acted as fuses I suppose.
Nonetheless, how do we know that 22 splines is not enough? Has one of the clever people on here done calculations that suggests 22 splines will not be enough? Rockwatt... What's your thoughts?

I know that RCV is a very well known business that makes some of the best aftermarket shafts and CV joints for 4x4's. If they give a full 5 year warranty on their product that's good enough for me. No other manufacturer does that for Jimny stuff.
Of course 26 splines will probably be better at some point. But if the right material and hardening process is used, I doubt it makes little difference on a low powered vehicle like the Jimny if the shafts are 22 or 26 splines.

I'm pretty sure these axles are also sold under the Trail-Gear brand. Looks very similar with the 26/33 splines design and the "no questions asked" warranty.
Worth noting is the warranty void above 40" tyres.
just to give you an idea of what RCV stuff is about.
Another great thing with these RCV shafts and CVs for the Jimny is they are a straight swap. No need for spacers and such.

So a 22 spline standard ARB and 22 spline shafts may be the answer. Still bloody expensive and still needs a diff re built to get the ARB into it, so you may aswell so for the stronger 26 spline set up.

And remember anything can be broken.
Just because one guy breaks his front diff doesn't mean Jimny diffs are generally prone to breaking.

I needed the shafts so they'd fit the diff I wanted to fit though, as the (Calmini Vitara) LSD was 26 spline...
In my Vitara days I've blown more than a dozen front axles (they are alloy casings on a Vitara, before upgrading to steel axles), countless shafts, CVs, and have sheared the splines off two rear half shafts too (with the aid of an LSD and a crawler box / Centerforce clutch), so given the opportunity to upgrade I jumped at it...
I have got a lighter right foot these days, and the red-mist of my youth has mellowed with age... still like to drive the gnarliest 'lanes available though!
