If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The whole lot comes off in one with the halfshaft attached, just disconnect the vacuum pipes, split the steering joints, remove the calliper undo the bolts around the large dust seal and pull it inwards, then whip the kingpins out.
You may find that the reason it leaks is because oil is coming out of the axle seal though...

Even if i was taking it apart dew to the one shot stuff id replace the oil seal just so i no its good

AGREE.. its a doddle job to replace it while you have it apart.. plus I'd be suspicious at what is pushing the grease out, might be a leaking seal anyway!

Agree as well. I gutted everything when I just needed a bottom bearing and replaced both the seals and both bearings.

+1 Keep the old seal aswell in case you ever need it again

Oil seals ordered, so the job is postponed for a few days.

One last question, it looks as though the diff oil was changed recently. If I do one side of the Jimny at a time, will I lose much when removing the oil seal?
