Seriously..........arghhhhh. If there is no electrical socket then what?? How are they going to test it, don't tell me they have to have a special plug installed. Un*******believable.

Regarding taking off the bumper, are there any bolts or screws that could slow down the job.....by hours???

I'm guessing if you unbolt just the towball then there is no need to have a socket as you clearly can't tow anything!

yes, states ...........

Operation of 13-pin trailer electrical sockets using an approved trailer socket tester
so we needn't worry as we've all got 7 pin (presumption)

however, it also states

Trailer electrical socket security and damage
now I presume this is a 7pin
need an MOT tester to confirm whether a fail results if it's missing
a fail results if it's obviously not wired up

I was told that this wouldn't make any difference, as long as the towbar (tow-ball fitted or not) was fitted, the regs (whatever they are) would apply

we need Markyp2000 to check it out and come back to us
