i want a small winch (6000lb)ish just for self recovery for if i ever needed it, i dont want anything flash ect.. but not 100% sure if i should or not? you guys with winches is it worth the couple of hundred quid getting it all i dont knowwww :ohmy: :silly:

If you are, and I would always say YES, as its your 'get out of jail card' - then don't get anything less than an 8,000lb winch.

I was looking at a T-max 9000lb winch sure it would be alright for a cheapy I guess

completely disagree with this I used a 3000lb winch doing every thing my 13000lb winch does now and it never failed
