If I were to get a winch I would consider a 3000lb plus a snatch block, less weight and you may not need to use the snatch block depending on how stuck you are. And if mud stops you, ya may have to get in there with a shovel. But a bit of physical work never hurt anyone

for a lanners perfect size really there never to much to get stuck in on most lanes I know some places are bad Salisbury plan has some horrible clay type mud that is nasty stuff to get out off and it builds up around everything but its still pulled me out, I would say a 6000lb winch if the perfect size for a jimny in all situations

Next week I'll be ordering a 6000lb winch iv had my eye on, change it from wire to rope, got a 600 battery to use would only be a case of pull your self out if I get stuck job and that's that..

you want to get one of these I wouldn't be witch out mine and would of been in all sorts of trouble with out it I know you go to the plain and have you seen meny trees lol and some places hidden in a ditch you wouldn't see any other people at all
