should have a diff lock button inside some were my brothers hasn't but I did sit in one that did afew months back and I think it was down near the gear stick

the jimny has loads of shortcomings, not least a narrow cabin and a lacklustre powerplant but it has many more points in its favour. no matter how much money you sling at a jim its just going to be a jim, albeit a very capable one, and you just can't compare it to a 2 ton diesel 4x4.
over the years i've owned 17 landrovers, 3 troopers, 2 foresters, 2 fourtraks, a couple of vitaras and a g wagon. the only one i'd put before the jimny is a g wagon.
i think if you get a shogun , you'll miss the jimny. i think its a case of the grass is always greener

standard jimny - for now

ive been out playing in the pajero this afternoon I must say I like it and the thing I like is you can give it all the stick you can and nothing brakes and don't have to upgrade it all very tempted as proberly getting rid of my van to so sell the both as ill need some thing for a daily to couldn't drive the jimny everywere we went 100 mile today on half a tank and at the cost of 80p a littre works out 2rds of what the jimny uses money wise

i used to have a 3l swb petrol shogun loved it to bits just couldnt afford to run it no longer :( maybe one day i will get another one
