This week I have mostly been doing winter prep, topping off waxoyl and other general maintenance though today it seems that Spare Jimny wants me to change her near side front inner axle oil seal which is nice of her.

Took my Jimny to a 4x4 off road trial at the local club. There was 11 vehicles competing, including 3 Jimnys, one of which won going through all ten stages clean.
Although I went through clean, I managed to miss a gate out, just didn’t see it, so finished 4th, well chuffed, especially as I was the only non-lifted vehicle there.
Great fun and a super sunny day.

Gave temeraire another detail in readiness for a dales run on Sunday. Also decided that the occasion of going anywhere worse than a grass parking area in her is sufficiently diminished as to render the transfer bash plate superfluous so that's another 13kg removed. Pity I still can see needing the towing equipment otherwise that would be a further 25kg. I need to get access to a set of corner weight scales then I can begin to adjust the suspension more accurately.

I got the head screwed on properly.
With a torque wrench I borrowed from the shop at work.
The lowest setting was 60Nm and just what I needed. .

Polished and then applied a Ceramic Coat to the paint work and polished the bumpers/wheel arches, ready for winter now.
Water, your fingers and muck just slides straight off the paint work and it should add a bit of extra speed, due to lower wind resistance.
