Thanks for the info & pics... Its looking good with the bigger rubber on now, just needs the winch
The 2" gap is about what i have and they scrape at the front sometimes...
You can just see where they scrape on this pic...
With the gearbox i think the R72 box is longer than the R7me box (the prop i had to have made for the rocklobster was shorter than the SJ one you used with it, but that was a rocklobster box which are different anyway). I didnt intend to remove my gearbox prop, but was unable to seperate it from the t-box so had to remove it and got covered in oil, hence the ramps at the rear solution.
Riccy.

Bit more this morning (just stopped for some lunch)
Had to strip half the interior to get to a plug that had come undone as the rear indicators weren't working after the bodylift
Wasn't happy with the tow point, I'd put a drop plate and a dixon-bate style pin and ball hitch, but it didn't look right?
So I took the hitch off, redrilled it, shortened it, and added some new bolts...

Then... got these off eBay -
They were designed for a Clio boy-racer, they are meant to wind into the front tow point in the bumper...
They came and the shank wasn't quite machined enough for my application, so they had a quick trip in the post to Scunthorpe, where Rockwatt machined them down for me a little
Thanks matey!
Bit of drilling and swearing!
They are M16 threads
Done!

After lunch...
I started measuring to make a spare wheel spacer...
...but then decided to just buy one from JimnyBits... no point reinventing the wheel (spacer)
So I turned my attention to the fog / DRLs...
These came from Germany, and replace the fog lights in the front bumper (the top two thirds are the fog light and the bottom third is the DRL, there are LEDs top and bottom of the bar two thirds of the way down inside the light)
Of course the old ones didn't want to come out, they put up quite a fight! So I had to drill them out
One done!
Both in...
Then to fight with the wiring...
DRLs = Daylight Running Lights, they come on with the ignition* and go off when the lights are turned on*
Foglights... they come on with the front foglight button on the dashboard (the DRLs go off when the lights are on anyway)
Mostly done... it was drizzling with fine rain so I didn't stay out of the garage too long...
*
I just need to finish the wiring...

Quick delivery from JimnyBits -
Spare now on
Notice how the lads in the garage got the lettering on the tyre to match the mounting point? There's service
That's the back finished! Just need to finish off the front lights... when the rain stops!
