Balanced on the studs

Spare doesn't fit

I'll have to make a spacer...
Getting there!
The transfer box and diffs are arriving tonight via Brett (Maverick) as his Jimny has been to see James 'J999PRE' and came back with them in the back, save on the shipping

3 quick questions -
1. how far from the closest point of the front wheelarch does the gap measure? my maxxis are too close (hence the arch problems & wanting to move front axle forwards a bit - could be the 30mm wheel spacers?)
2. do you have to remove the half shafts before swapping the diffs?
3. whats the brown skid mark under the spare wheel carrier?! (forgot to say that wouldnt fit, i got a spacer from your competition)
Also beware the newer gearbox to t-box prop has different spline count to earlier and will leak gearbox oil everywhere if pulled out on a level (i found putting the rear on ramps pushed the gearbox oil forwards enough to remove this shaft without oil coming out

1. I'll take some photos and measure for you tomorrow, yes, no wheel spacers on mine, and they look to clear quite well, closer to the front bumper than the rear of the front arch... Closeups tomorrow

2. Yes, the diff won't come out with the shafts in...
3. Metal corrosion... = RUST!

Yes, I'll have to make a spare wheel spacer up...
I'm hoping I won't need to take the gearbox prop out? I'm "only" swapping the transfer box out, which despite being different ratios should - I hope - be in the same position using the same props? Time will tell on that one! (the transfer box and diffs arrived this evening via my mate Brett who has had work done to his Jimny by James 'J999PRE', and brought the bits home to the Wirral and then dropped them to me on his way down to Slough - via St. Asaph?! - a slight detour... thanks Brett!)
