The new information about no spark on two cylinders is interesting.

Either there is still a fault with the crank/cam position sensors or the timing wheels

or

I wonder if you have a fault with the immobiliser, that cuts drive to the spark/injectors. Perhaps when the battery was disconnected, the ECU lost the key code.

Do you get the ‘padlock’ symbol on the dash?

One other problem might be a weak battery, or possibly poor battery/earth connection. Low voltage causes all sorts of strange problems.

Battery was fully charged....
No padlock symbol on the dash.
Immobilizer cuts of all cylinders, not just two for injection and other two for spark..
I run out of ideas..😥.

Is this vehicle EOBD/OBDII compliant or OBDI? How do you check for codes with a reader or counting flashes on the check engine light?

In my opinion the fact that the ECU does not "log" an error code when the CMP sensor is disconnected is a critical point - however, the method of detection MAY be a factor.

The older OBDI systems will not store a CMP code after switch off, it can only be seen after cranking the engine before switch off - the detection mechanism is based on not seeing CMP pulses whilst the start signal is active.

Is OBD II compliant.
I use a reader with CarScan app. (Basic but it shows engine parameters and error codes).
Someone said that CMP errors are logged after engine starts (it should start even without CMP), so here I have no clue.
Thing is ECU reacts at sensor disconnected/reconnect.

Unlikely.... checked, checked missing grounding, besides, is difficult to put them wrong as each wiring have different lengths .
More likely is getting half signal or processing only half.... it drives me nuts already,...
