Shock extenders question was created by wilku
I've decided to start lifting my Jimny with an extender kit. All the kits I can see on the Internet have a U-shaped spacer for the bottom mount of the rear shocks and a screw extension for the top mounting of the front shocks. Is there any particular reason for the solution on the front? Or, in other words - will 4 extenders of the "rear" type work as well?

(Of course I'll also add polyurethane spring extenders to match the shock extension brackets)

Thanks, but I've already ordered them locally for a pretty much same price (mine will be powder coated though - the workshop also has a paintshop so they'll hang next to some other, more serious job).

Although I've ordered 4 of equal size - why do these differ? (or is it just perspective?)

The rear ones will not fit the front and shock extenders do not lift your 4x4

You will gain a bit of extra flex with them on the rear. Removing the ARB on the front
will help match the rear. :)

Don't fit shock extenders unless you are fitting a matching set of spring spacers.
