When the engine has cooled (and turned off) the fan blades hardly move when flicked by hand, however after a couple of miles driving and the temp gauge on 1/2 the fan blade spins much easier (like a few revolutions with engine off) is this normal ?
Evejn though you have fitted a new rad, it could have got partly blocked from the additive you put in, take the bottom hose off and give it a good flush, better still if you can take rad out and back flush,
