If this doesn't work you may have dislodged or damaged something??

NOTE the clutch has to be FULLY depressed !!

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

It doesn't look like it's damaged or missing something. Only the connection of wires (plug) was fixed.
I am doing the procedure of engaging 4wd-l correctly.

I am sure I read somewhere there is a reset sequence as the actuators get out of sync

Ok, I didn't even know you can reset things like that. I will try to google it. If you recall it please let me know.
Big thanks!

you can reset he computer by simply disconnecting the battery. try that. I haven't had to deal with the electrical 4wd system on a jimny but on a modern shogun, my god is it a bastard. should really get a mechanic with a dealer level code scanner to have a look. he should be able to tell you whats wrong. This is why i have a older jimny, everything's mechanical :P

It's not a computer reset, its to get the motors into sync, I will see if I can find it
