I still can't find it. Googled on auszookers.com and nothing about resetting.
Found a proper service manual but nothing about actuator reset in there. It only states: "If actuator does not work correctly, replace actuator assembly". I hope to avoid that. I will keep may fingers crossed for Martin's good memory and keep on searching myself.

3" Trailmaster lift with 1.5 Spacers on front
Customised winch bumper and roll cage
235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air
Corrected arms all-round, rear disks, Recaro seats and harnesses

The only thing I can find is here which talks about a failed 4WD Low proximity switch

The manual also talks about the three limit detection switches in the transfer box that tell the system where it is. At a guess the "sync" process involves getting the ECU to think it is in 2WD high and then winding the motor to the same position.
