Hi, thanks :) I see you just cut out the jack well though, is that cause repairing where it meets with the vertical rear sill is too hard/pricey?

Can I ask how much you paid in the end for the welding you had done? Yours only looked marginally less severe than mine is.

I am just thinking of using aluminium mesh and filler myself though.

You will need to cut out the rot and weld in new steel if you're close to a body, seat or seatbelt mount. You may as well do it all properly.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Have you checked the rear of that body front cross member. They can rot behind the wheel arch plastic cover.

I would probably get some seam sealer along those joints if it were mine. That way you will weather proof the joints and stop all the crap getting between the skins and rotting it from the inside out.

Definitely needs welding. Gauze and filler will just prolong the agony for a short time and make it more expensive in the long run.
