Would a faulty gearbox mount cause stiff gear changes?

It's easy to check the mount if you can lay underneath the car - just try to lift the back of the gearbox. I found mine is gone but I don't have any symptoms other than the odd strange noise.

Thanks gents, have one on order from suzuki for £30 so will hopefully get it fitted Tuesday.
If it doesn't solve the gear change maybe a better gearbox oil would help?

semi synthetic i used ;)

I'm guessing the garage changed the oil when they swapped out the clutch so maybe used the wrong sort.

Can you remember the brand you went for?

apart from the mount it can also be that when u changed the clutch u tightened too much the lever , it sits on a small plastic bush that if u tighten it too much the gear becomes stiff .i would 1st undo the gearlever and see how it is sitting on this bush it should not be too tight it is very small and round and oil i have always used normal 80/90 with no problem .hope this helps ;)

if u worry u die if u dont worry u still die so why worry
