Mistake big time!

Pics?? Do you have any??

I have moved everything from inside the front inner wing and only thing these will be used for is to mount the headlights and bolt the wing tops to.
Does help I'm building an 8point exo cage

I take it your J is going to be a pay and play off roader only, or will it be road legal?

Mickt - do you have any photographs? I went out last night to look at mine, but could not identify the area you were referring to - neither underneath, nor under the bonnet behind the headlights!! (2005 VVT). Do you have to remove a liner to see it?
Thanks.

It becomes a water trap behind the headlights and rots from the inside.
I have had my jimny from it being 12 months old and have also done everything I can to try combat rust but it always wins
Mine will still be road legal by the time it is finished.

That's exactly where mine has gone. It seems to be more towards the back of the box section like yours.

Spot on Mystic Rich. Sorry I have not taken any photos. Just take the liner off from the wheel arch and take the headlamp out and all will be revealed! I am surprised that water collects in the channel as there is a big drain hole just beside the body mounting towers. I think like the rest of the cars areas the original paint prep was not up to much both on the Jimny and the Vitara range. My lads 1.6 Vitara underneath at the back was horrendous, a nightmare in rust orange. Luckily it was surface and just needed treating and painting although his sills were rotten. They had to be patched repaired as Suzuki never made any replacement panels for that area!!Lets hope their newer cars are better protected now that they are becoming more popular!
