There is something really macho with a look like this. If only we could drive with an open front like the American hot rods used to.

Will you need to remove the rad, power steering hoses and outwings to get more access?
I am going to get a mobile welder in to do mine at home but I will be prepping as much as possible to keep the costs down.

I have had a quote for £168 to get mine done by a mobile welder so I have booked it for the 30th of Sept. Got time then to get all the other jobs done then MOT'ed, and ready for the Jimny meet on the 19th

I have just about finished off side. The welding is done at the points photo'd but they have started to delam in the engine bay as well which will require the rad out at least to access! They will be done after the mot though. I will photo the offside when it is sealed and painted.
"Guardian Angel" That seems too cheap to be true considering the complexity of the area(3 skins in places) and the access(bit tight and awkward. Lets hope he is true to his word and he fully run welds all edges of the repair as required by the Mot regs.
