Mine rattles only mainly in 2nd gear, at 1500 rpm
If I'm pulling away slowly, say with a trailer (more strain on the engine)
If I put my foot down it rattles like crazy, but only breifly at 1500rpm
If I put my foot down lightly and gradually it doesn't
It sounds just like a guard on the cat or something, when I crawl under
And bash the exhaust around for a loose guard or summin
I can hear the rattle so I have no idea lol?

That does sound like a cat guard/plate but without having a look its impossible to tell, mine rotted off around one of the bolts, the bottom part is easy to remove but if its the top part it can be a nightmare to get off as you have to remove the sensor
or like i did just cut the guard off with tin snips
Hope you get it sorted

A few people on here have had vvt gearbox failure. I wonder if this was the cause?
