I also found found the 3/8 too loose, so I bought a 10mm adapter from the local motor factors - much easier than having to remove a damaged plug.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

A set of drain plug keys can be had on eBay for about a tenner, if you need them urgently then they are available at halfrauds :)

Mine has slightly rounded corners too make it easier to fit onto a socket, and I found it slipped out of the drain plug as a result, increasing the chances of rounding it off, so I got a proper drain plug socket which works much better.

i just hold the 3/8 ratchet head firmly in place so it cant twist out.

the plugs shouldnt be overly tight anyway....................they dont need to be FT!
