My blue jimny is just standard so if had a 205/70/15 on the standard rims. Done a lot of heavy off roading and couldn't really fault the. Great on the road too.

I ran 195/80/15 Khumo's on my old jimny dident seem to make much difference to the gearing. Looking at putting 215/75/15 BFG KM2's (smallest size they do) on my next one and diddent really consider the gearing to be honest

i run 215's on my jimny, do about 150k's a week on the highway and find it struggles on the hills, but so do all jim's, it loves the mud and sand 1st gear crawling through most of the stuff i go through. she loves it :woohoo:

i was actually thinking of getting 195's for my next set to help her out on the highway, how do you find them on the black stuff?? what revs at 100 KPH does it sit on
??

195 80 15 approx 25mm greater in diameter than the standard 205's

215 75 15 approx 36mm greater in diameter than the standard 205's

and dont forget the tyre size calculations are done on normal road tyres having about 7-8 mm of tread so if you replace the standard tyres with mud tyres you are potentially adding another 20mm in diameter on to the above figures as muds seem to run 17-18mm tread depth. so even a 195 mud is approx 45mm diameter greater than the standard 205 dueller. the 215's approx 56mm greater than standard

standard jimny - for now
