We'll after speaking to a few people I know we have came to the conclusion it's the water pump seizing :/

I'm still hoping mine was just on too tight. I've replaced it with a new one and checked everything over and can't find anything wrong except the pulleys have a bit of melted rubber stuck in the groves and I couldn't get it all out. Hope that doesn't effect it.
How did U manage to trace it to the water pump?

Yeah I have melted rubber bits in the grooves too ..my uncles mechanic said it will be the water pump seizing wlonce it's heated up :/ only 30odd pound for a new one tho:/

Did you get any mud into the alternator? Mud can feck up the bearings and they will only cease under load too most likely. Seen this happen a few times already.
