@Ritchie. Do you have any other electrical items running at the time? Ive an amp and sub, which ive tried disconnecting, but doesnt seem to make any difference. For me, it always slips from cold, especially at night with headlights, wipers and demist on. Its obviously alternator load related..

But, it will also do it randomly having stopped at traffic lights, and also sometimes from cold with no lights or anything..

Are all the pulleys in line with each other. With old vee type belts you could get away with misalignment to a degree, but do the ribbed belts get "sawn"by the pulleys if not in line.

For me, the belts seem to be wearing thinner and thinner until the inevitable. No wear to the sides, and no cords become exposed. The ribs seem to become sharpened.
Think im gonna order me up a new alternator, its the only thing left I can think of. Can only assume the guys who inspected it missed something.

Hi, sorry I took so long to reply.
I've got roof light but nothing else and it has snapped when thebrooflights are off.
I think mine is related to elctrcs aswell but can't pin point it.
I've had no slippage since ive fitted the most rest and I've been running with everythin on to see if I can recreate the problem but so far nothing. Its doing my heed in to be honest.
I've got a second hand alternator and a new water pump ready to use but would really Like to pin point the fault first.
