is it something easy to check at home on the drive? mine makes a random noise when i pull away, hard to describe it really! only when initially pulling away as soon as im moving no noise. could wheel bearings or kingpins make a random noise when pulling away? i know wheel bearing start as a whine and get progressivly louder the more fu#*$* they get and kingpins we all know about but could it be related?

Interesting you guys mention squeaky bushes. Do you think some muck could have got into/around them?
The noises didn't start until after a very muddy track....
I'm wondering if a good powerwash under the wheel arches may help?

Get under it and try pushing the rear of the gearbox up towards the body. If it moves and hits the body then the bush must be split
