A starting with rebuild now I have got engine and am thinking of different axles but what are best and what do I need to do to convert

70 series Cruiser or hilux, would be a better choice than gwagon axles,

E-lockers can be had quite easily for any of the Toyota axles, and shafts and cv's are available and well priced.

80 series axles would be a pretty silly choice. Far too wide and heavy. Might as well choose patrol y61 instead, as they have stronger cv joints. But just as wide and heavy.

I'd go for 70 series, g wagon or samurai axles. Samurai axles are 5 cm narrower than jimny axles, but this can be fixed with spacers. And they are cheap to upgrade.

No mean feat swapping axles to obtain the correct geometry G wagon are awesome Dana style with cross axle diff locking far better than any Tin axle plus it gets to look like this
